
Sadhana Patel qualified as a solicitor in 1995 having undertaken her training at Bindman and Partners in London. After she qualified she moved to Marcus Barnett Solicitors a Legal Aid practice in Islington where she specialised in housing. She worked there for 7 years initially as an assistant solicitor and later as a Partner.
She joined Tyrer Roxburgh & Co initially for 6 months in 2003 after which she left to go on maternity leave. She returned to the firm in April 2004 as an assistant Solicitor and became a Partner in April 2005 where she has continued to practice in all areas of housing work.
Sadhana takes part in the Edmonton County Court duty scheme providing free legal advice and representation to tenants in possession hearings. She also takes part in the advice rota at the local CAB providing free legal advice. Prior to her training as a Solicitor and whilst studying Sadhana volunteered for several years at Southall Black Sisters, an advice and campaigning centre for black women. During that time she also worked in an Asian Women's Refuge for two years.
