Qualifying as a solicitor in 2006, Ronak joined Tyrer Roxburgh Solicitors LLP having worked in a number of law firms and a national charity across London and the home counties. Ronak has specialised in Landlord & Tenant work since 2003 both dealing with landlords, managing agents and tenants. Ronak has also dealt with Debt and Welfare Benefits so has some understanding of both areas. Furthermore, Ronak has extensive experience of advocacy which includes county court duty schemes in Edmonton, Bow, Clerkenwell & Shoreditch and Uxbridge County Courts amongst others. Ronak has previously established new Landlord & Tenant departments and the challenges that this brings.

In terms of legal work, Ronak provides a robust professional legal service ensuring that all possible legal remedies are exhausted to the benefit of his clients. At Tyrer Roxburgh Solicitors LLP, Ronak specialises in Landlord & Tenant work carrying out all casework from the start of a case to the final hearing with the support of his colleagues.

Whilst at the national charity, Shelter, Ronak managed a team of legal advisors dealing with both work under the London Councils Grants Programme and the Legal Aid Agency. The types of cases dealt with include possession claims, homelessness, disrepair, allocations & housing benefit. Shelter campaigns on housing issues seeking changes in the law and provides legal advice to those with housing problems. The services Ronak was involved with comprised a telephone advice line and face to face surgeries across London from Hounslow to Bexley. Ronak dealt with external stakeholders and ensured that advisors were meeting their targets and the key performance indicators for the relevant contracts. Specifically, Ronak interviewed new staff & inducting them into their new roles, carried out monthly one to one supervision meetings to review performance, annual appraisals, chairing team meetings, carrying out file reviews to monitor casework quality, setting Performance Improvement Plans, marketing and responded to client complaints.

Additionally, Ronak is a part time law lecturer teaching with the Open University and covers Land, Equity & Trusts and Contract & Tort law on the LL.B. Law degree. The role requires the marking of assessments, providing regular face to face and online tutorials and support via a variety of means including Adobe Connect which is an online presentation platform. Ronak himself holds both the LL.B and LL.M degrees in Law.

With the little remaining time, Ronak enjoys gardening, DIY and likes travelling to far-flung areas around the world and exploring other cultures.
